Yellow pages from yesterday –
You have ended, elapsed,
Buried so deep…
I am the phoenix from your ashes;
I am the diamond from your mines,
You lie amid consumed days;
The dust on uneven roads,
Leaves crunching under rolling stones.
I have crumpled you, hiding, in dark closets –
I have pushed you into yawning quagmires.
In clammy nights,
You revisit in thoughts.
You entice in recollections.
We can never be together now – you and I.
For I have consumed you, in me,
Without a trace,
Or so I believe…
